Mini Appartments Pupa

The Pupa mini appartment is equipped with a double bed and a sofa bed for two more guests. Included: Wi-fi, air conditioning, Smart TV, fully equipped kitchen complete with pots and pans, bathrooms with shower and bidet, hairdryer, clean linen.

Origin of the name
The history of the "pupae with moustaches" dates back to the feudal period when the "jus primæ noctis" unleashed the jealousy of a future husband who, to escape the imposing and unacceptable shame of having his wife possessed by the prince of the moment, disguised himself he marries her, presenting herself in the presence of the nobleman. Unfortunately, he had forgotten to cut his mustache and was immediately discovered and arrested. He underwent a trial and to serve the sentence (beheading was foreseen) he was forced to procure for the prince his best wine, as a winemaker, contained and presented in these anthropomorphic flasks which were called pupae, as a permanent reminder of the event. In the cellars of the prince's palace, many flasks were found which today are part of private collections all over the world. Today, the pupae with and without mustaches are also reproduced as lamp bases and as monochromatic or decorated plastic sculptures of various sizes.
