Mini appartments Capasone

The Capasone mini apartment is spread over three levels. On the first level we find the kitchen and the bathroom; on the second level, on a wonderful mezzanine, the double bedroom; on the third level, under the mezzanine, the kitchen area with sofa bed for two more guests.
The room includes: Wi-fi, air conditioning, Smart TV, equipped kitchen complete with pots and pans, bathrooms with shower and bidet, hairdryer, clean linen.
ATTENTION: As soon as you enter the room, under your feet, you will be surprised by an ancient well, used in the past to collect rainwater, in which you can admire some wonderful "capasoni".

Origin of the name
The Capasone has very ancient origins and the name itself defines it as a real jar with a greater capacity than the others. The word Capasone, in fact, is a Grottaglie dialect term which means 'capable': "large", precisely to determine the large capacity of the container which could contain up to 200 liters and used instead of barrels.
The real characteristic of the Capasone, in addition to its size, was the possibility of keeping oil, water and wine always at the same temperature, thus preventing the product from going bad. Furthermore, this container was also used for the conservation of pickled mushrooms and dried figs, guaranteeing the freshness of the products for a prolonged period.
Once used, the Capasone could be washed with water and ground tuff so that it could subsequently be reused for the conservation of other types of products, without contaminating the smell.
